CONSTRUCTED WETLAND AT GALUGA LANDFILL FOR LEACHATE TREATMENT: A SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

Aim: This study aims to treat leachate by using the constructed wetland. Moreover, of usage solid waste as a part wetland was also carried out analyze potential utilization filter media. Methodology and Results: Two different alternatives were proposed obtain best system, i.e., conventionally wetlands with gravel, sand, rock filtration media, that utilize The treated in pandan plant through phytoremediation process. results showed able reduce BOD, COD, nitrate, phosphate concentrations up 87.3%, 87.7%, 86%, 99.7% wetland, 77.1%, 76.9%, 98%, 98.9% waste. analysis show TSS value still exceeds quality standard due suspended particles water. Conclusion, significance, impact study: significantly affected reduction but did not TSS. Therefore, additional technology, such sedimentation tank, is needed. ecologically first step achieving sustainable development.
